THIS SEASON: Forel Davies enters her second season at USC as a versatile utility player who brings experience and great skill to the Trojan gameplan.
2007: Davies scored 17 goals as a freshman... Scored in 12 different games with four multiple-goal efforts... Had a career-high three goals in USC's 14-7 first-round win over Hartwick at the NCAA Championships... Was named to the MPSF All-Freshman Team.
NATIONAL TEAMS: Davies is a member of the U.S. Junior National Team... Most recently competed with the U.S. squad at the 2007 Junior World Championships in Portugal... Won silver at the Pythia Cup and Trofeo Liguria in summer 2006.
HIGH SCHOOL: Davies won CIF titles with Carlsbad High in 2005 and 2004... Was a two-time first-team All-CIF Division I selection... Earned All-Avocado League honors three times... As a standout in both water polo and swimming, was named Carlsbad High Athlete of the Year... A four-time all-league and three-time first team All-CIF selection for swimming... Won the CIF 50 freestyle title in 2005 and 2006... Holds school records in the 50 and 100 free and the league record in the 50 free... Also a member of school record-holding 200 medley, 400 free and 200 free relays... Plays club for San Diego Shores, winning the 18-under gold at the 2005 Junior Olympics and silver in 2006.
