The 2008 USC women's cross country schedule was announced today (Aug. 4) by head coach Tom Walsh.

The Women of Troy will open their season on Sept. 6 at the UC Irvine Invitational in Irvine, Calif. The four remaining regular season meets will be Sept. 13 at the Aztec Invitational in San Diego, Calif., Oct. 4 at the Pepperdine Invitational in Malibu, Calif., Oct. 17 at the Roadrunner Invitational in Bakersfield, Calif. and Oct. 24 at the Titan Invitational in Fullerton, Calif.

The postseason portion of the schedule features the Pac-10 Championships at Oregon on Nov. 1, the NCAA West Regional at Stanford on Nov. 15 and the NCAA Championships at Indiana State on Nov. 24.

The young Trojan squad returns a strong nucleus of talent led by sophomores Sarah Cocco and Zsofia Erdelyi who combined to win three races as freshmen and paired to make USC one of six schools at the 2007 NCAA West Regional with two or more runners in the top 30.
