The USC women's cross country team will run in the Pepperdine Invitational tomorrow (Sept. 24) at 9:15 a.m., a four-way meet between the host Waves, USC, Cal State Northridge and Cal State Los Angeles.

The Trojans will have their most runners to date this season competing, as senior captain Kate Neeper leads eight Trojans into competition. Also running for USC are senior Amber Oleson, juniors Kristen Berglas, Chistina Eads and Treani Swain, sophomores Sara Fusco and Sarah Sisco, and freshman Megan Kelly.

"We have a chance to make a statement in this invitational," said cross country coach Tom Walsh. "We have been waiting for the team to make a breakthrough and this could be the meet."

The Pepperdine course is very hilly and the Trojan cross country team has been doing hill training the past two weeks.

The Women of Troy's next meet will be on Saturday, October 8 at the UC San Diego Invitational. The team has pulled out of the UC Riverside Invitational next weekend.
